As a non-profit organization, the Museum of Discovery relies on support from philanthropic corporations and individuals who understand the critical role the museum plays in the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) educational pipeline.
With your help, more Arkansas children who visit the museum will gain a better understanding of science, technology, engineering and math at an early age. As a result, those children will be more likely to pursue STEM degrees in college, go on to rewarding careers in STEM fields and secure a brighter future for them and their families. Please support one of these Museum of Discovery campaigns. Thank you!
The Museum of Discovery is home to the state’s second largest live animal collection. Be it cute and cuddly, or slithery and slimy, our animals provide an important teaching tool for our visitors, both young and old. By donating to this campaign, you will help support the care of these animals for things such as food, habitat and medical care.
Providing free admission to the museum and our programs – which also are presented outside our walls – is a critical component of the mission of the Museum of Discovery. A donation to this campaign will help expose more young people to hands-on science and technology-based activities in an informal, non-threatening educational environment, whether that’s in the museum or an outreach session.
Many children and family in the state are struggling through illnesses, homelessness, abuse and other tragic circumstances and therefore are unable to afford educational outings to the Museum of Discovery. A donation to this campaign will help provide admission scholarships for families living at places such as Ronald McDonald House, Dorcas House, Our House and other organizations that help families through transitional periods in their lives.
Help us encourage young girls to pursue science, technology, engineering and math (STEM( education and become the future scientists, engineers and computer programmers of tomorrow! Each summer, we host Girls in STEM, free one-week workshops for girls age 11-14 that introduce them to female STEM professionals and STEM career possibilities. Your donation will support the program and allow more young women to participate!
